The Data Integration Project is a regional collaborative effort to integrate maintained GIS data across political and organizational boundaries and provide a means for public Internet access to such data. The SouthWest Data Center, Inc. (SWDC), as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation, is the developer, coordinator and maintainer of the Data Integration Project.

This Website is the public Internet access component to a whole system that receives, integrates and publishes maintained data from appropriate sources. Although the primary purpose of the Data Integration Project is to support cross jurisdictional emergency and disaster mitigation planning the resources can als be applied to a variety of other public information uses.
