Conceptually, the Data Integration Project rejects; the notion that sharing data is a political problem, the concept of Share Codes and compliance to "top-down" standards.

Rather, the Data Integration Project embraces; the notion that integrating maintained data is a marketing opportunity, data maintenance should be the product of existing work flows and good standards evolve from using the best practices.
