Data Producers are the member organizations that maintain and contribute the discrete datasets from which integrated layers are generated.

Providing public access
to the members' maintained data is an integral part of the Data Integration Project. Map viewers are a key component of the "data cycle". These map viewers enable a demand. In theory, the more the map viewers become a part of peoples business practice, the more interested decision makers are going to be in supporting their GIS operations - and thus the maintained data is actually "pushed" into the system.

Map Viewers for each of the Data Producers can be accessed through their respective Launch Page.

Legacy Viewers are viewers that were created prior to the Data Integration Project. The data sources have been exported to the SDE database server but are otherwise un-maintained. The viewers are also un-maintained and may be retired at some point.

Discrete Map Viewers use the datasets as they are maintained by each of the Data Producers - discrete datasets (NADCON transformed into NAD83 UTM projection if necessary). These map viewers provide an interim component of the data cycle and access to datasets in their "original" form.

Integrated Map Viewers use maintained datasets that are integrated into seamless layers spanning the geographic area of the Data Integration Project. These datasets are based on the Geospatial One Stop Best Practices. Since these datasets are generated from data models, modifications will be made as "standards" are refined.
